Mountain Rwenzori National Park Safari

This 2-day Rwenzori mountain will take you to hike mountain Rwenzori which is the largest mountain in the whole of Africa. This mountain has got an altitude of range of 1600m to 5109m above sea level. This mountain is located in the western part of Uganda and it lies between the Uganda-Congo border giving protection to the highest parts of Rwenzori of 120km long and 65km wide.
Rwenzori Mountain is home to over 70 mammals and 217 bird species including the 1 Albertine Rift endemic species. Additionally, apart from this activity of hiking, you will also participate in others such as bird watching, nature walks, village walks, and so on.

Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Briefing at the base camp.

After having your early morning breakfast, you will move to the base camp 1450m where your hike will begin to have a briefing on how to trek. From there, the hike will start moving towards the Sine camp which is 2596m. This hike to the mountain will take you through the tall forest trees of the Afro-montane forest zone continuing towards the Sine hut. During this hike, you will get to see a number of animals such as the Columbus monkeys, which will be seen crossing the beautiful Enock Falls as you hike up to the Sine camp.

Day 2: Hiking and departure.

After enjoying your morning tea, you will embark on your journey hiking left on the trail down the beautiful Enock Falls which are just 200m from the Sine hut. Relax a bit and continue hiking crossing the river till you come across the beautiful forest trail with the great chances of making a glance at the colobus monkeys, different bird species, and so on. This will take you over 5 to 6 hours of hiking.
